Cassin's Kingbird
Tyrannus vociferans

Fairly common summer resident near eucalyptus groves, locally found in winter.

Some of the best Central Coast birding sites to find it are:

San Luis Obispo County: 
Edges of Nipomo Mesa Eucalyptus groves
Arroyo Grande Creek behind old village [Winter -- 42 roosting on 2/2/04]

Santa Barbara County: 
Northeast border of Devereux Slough in Goleta
Waller Park in Santa Maria [outside edges]

Evergreen Cemetery in Lompoc [including early winter]
West of Foster Rd. near the airport in Orcutt [winter]

Ventura County:
Camino Real Park
Lake Casitas
Arroyo Verde Park [year-round] 
Wheeler Canyon Road and Aliso Canyon Road
